Where do I start?

Step 1. I’m Not Sure I Want to Change.

Well, here you are, visiting a website that’s all about change, but you’re not really sure there’s anything you need or want to change right now. Perhaps you were sent here by a loved one, or maybe you just happened upon AA2. Now that you’re here, how about taking a look around. You might even want to make use of one of our Building Blocks for Deciding If Change Is Needed. (Marc—Insert here the decisional balance from the next item

Step 2. I’m Thinking About Changing.

That’s wonderful! You’ve taken the first step on the path to change. It’s OK to think about changing before you actually embark on that journey. Thinking about the Good and Not-So-Good things about making the change you’re thinking about can helping you build motivation to get moving. You might even want to do your own exercise about the Good and Not-So-Good things about changing or not changing.

Step 3. I’m Ready to Change.

Congratulations! You’re really on the pathway to change. You now have a couple of decisions to make. First, you need to decide which of the many avenues to change you would like to start with. Go to the Core Principles and Building Blocks and you will find a variety of techniques and approaches that have been shown to be effective at helping people make changes. By joining our Incre-Mentalist Health Club you can assure yourself of having access to all the new material we will be posted here over the coming weeks.

Step 4. I want to maintain my change.

If you are at this point in the change process, you are already well along the path to permanent change. Now you may need some help maintaining those changes. The Incre-Mentalist Health Club provides you ongoing tools to help with the maintenance process.

I want to help someone else make a change. COMING SOON

As a concerned friend or family member, you’re in the right place. As we build AA2 even further, we will be posting specific techniques and strategies that you can use to engage your friend or family member in the change process. The methods we present are the most effective ways we have available, according to scientific research, for helping other people become motivated to change, and then actually make changes! In the meantime, you can help your friend or family member along the way by referring them here, to AA2, asking them to look around, and to consider joining the Incre-Mentalist Health Club. That will show them you are concerned, that you care, and that you are determined that they should get the best information about change that is currently available!

I work with people who are interested in change. COMING SOON

As a counselor, therapist, EAP professional, or other change agent, you can use AA2 as a resource both for yourself (to learn the most up-to-date and research validated methods of helping clients change) and as a resource for your clients. The Incre-Mentalist Health Club  is a natural adjunct to your own work with clients. We provide readily understandable and practical information that you and your clients can use to help them make and sustain changes.
